Dear Reader
Let me walk you through week one of our cohorts.
First, we start with a kickoff meeting .
You’ll meet your coach, see how everything works, where to post your assignments, and how the cohort runs.
Then you begin Unit 1 .
Rhythm Matrix — Week 1
You’ll start with the foundations of rhythm and learn Ari’s 16 Rhythm Matrix patterns - the building blocks of groove.
You won’t count.
You’ll use words like “weedwacker,” “butterfly,” “movie” instead of 1-e-and-a .
Because words put rhythm in your body , not just your head.
You’ll work with:
animations
groove tools
backing tracks
And right from the start, you’ll hit precision drills that sharpen your timing fast.
By the end of week one, you’ll hear and feel groove differently.
“I have struggled with syncopation and off-beat sixteenth notes for years… I am finally on the right path.” — Tracie Whitelaw
“The Rhythm Matrix makes my job so easy.” — SLM

Beginner Evolution — Week 1
You’ll start with foundational technique and your first bass lines.
This is about playing musically from day one .
No abstract exercises. No dry drills.
Just bass lines that:
sound good
feel good
build real fundamentals

Theory — Week 1
Finger Kung-Fus, intervals, and notefinders - you’ll see how music is actually put together on the bass. You’ll start building your own grooves while mapping theory directly onto the fretboard.
This is where theory stops being abstract - and becomes usable.
Our big flagship course. 20 Units.

Reading System — Week 1
You’ll learn the interval method and your first shape.
You’ll start reading simple bass lines without looking at the fretboard.
You’re not memorizing notes.
You’re reading relationships .
That’s why this works — and why it sticks.
“Much easier to decode, read, remember and improvise.” — RHR

What you commit to
Every week:
First you watch course videos
Then you choose one exercise
Then you tell your cohort
Then you practice it
Then you record yourself
Then you post it
That recording changes everything.
You don’t drift. You don’t half-finish things.
You show up and do the work. And you get support, feedback in meetings with Ari and you have so much fun you want to do it again and again.
Details
Cohorts start April 16 with our Kick-off meeting Registration closes April 15 at noon Eastern
If you’ve been thinking about it - decide now. No new cohorts for a while.
Ari

“Recording myself made me accountable… I work steadily toward completing the course.” — Fred P.
